Good bird watching all year round.

Getterön is worth visiting all year round, but the best is April-May and August-October when lots of swimming ducks, geese and waders gather, in the winter there are white tailed eagles in abundance, up to about 20 in one day it was in the winter of 2014/2015.

There are several hides where you can get closer to the birds without scaring them. Tube binoculars and guides are available at Naturum, good when the weather is bad! From October to March there is eagle feeding in the mornings in front of the large hide, come early at dawn.
